By using wood as a building material, its environmental benefits are multiplied since, in addition to its capacity to fix carbon throughout its useful life, it can replace other products whose manufacture generates more CO2 emissions. In general terms, it is estimated that the use of 1 m³ of wood instead of concrete leads to an average reduction of 2 tons of CO2.
